More Than a Conversation — A Journey to Becoming Your Best Self
ABOUT YOUR HOST —JEFF
I’m Jethro “Jeff” Hopgood — author, podcast host, speaker, minister, songwriter, and personal-growth advocate. At the center of everything I create is one simple but powerful question:
Who am I?
That question became the foundation of the Who Am I? Podcast, where I have honest conversations about identity, purpose, relationships, faith, grief, discipline, healing, personal growth, and becoming the person you were created to be.
My message is simple:
Pause. Reflect. Refocus.
Through the podcast, I’ve had the opportunity to reach listeners across 31 countries and more than 100 U.S. cities. But for me, this has never been about numbers. It’s about helping people slow down, examine their lives, challenge the stories they’ve been told about themselves, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I’m also the creator of the Who Am I? Life Academy, a personal-growth community designed to help people rediscover who they are, confront what may be holding them back, and intentionally become the person they want to be.
My upcoming book, Who Am I? Finding Yourself When the World Is Trying to Define You, takes that message even deeper. Through personal stories, faith, reflection, and practical lessons, the book explores identity, integrity, purpose, pressure, healing, growth, and the journey back to yourself.
Faith is a major part of my foundation. As a minister and speaker, I believe our experiences — even the difficult ones — can become lessons that help someone else keep going. Whether I’m speaking, writing, podcasting, preaching, or creating music, my goal is always the same: to help people think deeper, heal stronger, and live more intentionally.
I’m also a husband, family man, singer and songwriter who enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, sports, karaoke, country music, and meaningful conversations. I’m originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and now call Florida home. I hold a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Lynn University, a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and an Associate degree in Criminal Justice and Networking.
But titles, degrees, accomplishments, and platforms are only pieces of the story.
The real journey is discovering who you are beneath all of them.
That is why I created this platform — for the person who is rebuilding, growing, questioning, healing, or simply trying to figure out what comes next.
You are more than your past.
You are more than the expectations placed on you.
And you are still becoming.
